Duran Motorsports Looks for Redemption With Class 10 Win at Tijuana Score Desert Challenge

TIJUANA, BAJA CALIFORNIA, MEXICO, September 19th, 2018 – With two rounds to go in the four-race 2018 SCORE World Desert Championship, #1016 Duran Motorsports looks to the Tijuana SCORE Desert Challenge to make up points in the Class 10 championship.  The special format includes racing Saturday and Sunday starting and finishing at Rancho Casian on the Southeast outskirts of Tijuana and pre-race activities on Thursday and Friday in the Rio Zona area of Tijuana.

With a very difficult and gnarly 33.7 course on their radar, the Duran Motorsports/Radar Tyres Class 10 team is prepared to overcome all the challenges, primed with a winning combination of Radar Tyres, Method Race Wheels, King Shocks and Baja Designs.

“The course is very, very technical,” said #1016 team owner/driver Hiram Duran, “It will be difficult to pass other cars in the dust, with virtually no space for passing in the 33.7 mile course. That means we need to be smart and consistent in our driving.”

Teams drew for starting positions and in the two-day, two-lap SCORE Baja race, Duran Motorsports will start in the 13th spot on Saturday, attacking the course with consistent and smart driving. Sunday the team plans to hit it harder with a 3rd spot starting position.

“Sunday I think we have a better chance to move up, with less dust in our way,” said Duran. “We’ve prerun the course, the car is dialled in and we know our Radar Tyres, Method Race Wheels and King Shocks perform. We’re excited to see where they can take us this weekend!”
